i was optimising for visibility of driffle in answer engines and then read something that made me pause.
if an agent visits your website on someone's behalf, can your analytics tell that apart from a person browsing?
a person exploring the product, a crawler indexing it and an agent checking it for a potential user are very different visits. i'd want to understand them differently, rather than put them all in the same traffic report.
as a founder, i want agents to discover driffle. i also want to know whether i'm measuring people, agents or a mix of both.
has anyone here tried separating this in their analytics? what's worked, and what are you still guessing at?
